The Downigntown Heat AAU Basketball Club is growing and we want you to join us! We are adding coaches for 4th-11th Grade Boys and Girls teams. Fill the online form out to schedule an interview. Qualified candidates will have a high level of knowledge of the game of basketball, excellent communication skills, and willingness to coach the Downingtown Heat philosophy. College playing experience is highly recommended but not mandatory.

Requirements:

• Must be able to attend Tryouts

• Must be able to coach practices two (2) times per week March through May

• Must be able to coach at tournament games on average three to four per month (3 to 6 games over the course of both days, Saturday-Sunday)

• Create practice and game plans; provide appropriate feedback for development

• Communicate regularly with Club Manager and Board by meeting all deadlines as assigned and providing information as requested

• Must complete and maintain necessary clearances prior to tryouts. No clearances, no coaching.

Qualifications:

• Played Competitive Basketball

• Coached Competitive Basketball – AAU Preferred

• Worked with youth athletes; ability to teach techniques at an age appropriate level

• Excellent Communication skills

• Strong Organizational & Time Management skills
